When your life is a hot mess at twenty, it’s cute. At twenty-seven…well, not so much.

It’s just that my lofty dreams—making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily—have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I’ve decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I’ve settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry.

That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town’s new vet.

With his strong jaw, easy confidence, and form-fitting scrubs, it’s not long before every housewife in Hamilton is dragging neglected tomcats in for weekly checkups.

Like everyone else, I’m intrigued. Even after I spoil my chance at a good first impression, he still offers me a proposition I can’t refuse: play his girlfriend at a family function and he’ll hire me as his real estate agent. Welcome to love in the 21st century.

It’s too bad I underestimated Adam’s irresistible charm and the undeniable attraction that burns between us. The day he pins me to the wall and silences me with a kiss, the line between reality and ruse begins to blur. Every teasing touch brings me to my knees. Every kiss promises more.

It looks like my hot mess of a life is about to get a little hotter.

Another brilliantly funny, romantic and heart warming book from R.S. Grey! I love this authors writing and all of her books are always original, with a great plot and always keep me wanting to turn those pages.

So in this book we meet Dr Adam Foxe, a Veterinarian, who has just moved to the small town of Hamilton from the big city of Chicago. The story also features Madeline Thatcher, a long time resident of Hamilton, who is forever single. She spends her days as a relatively unsuccessful real estate agent, and her evenings with her brand new puppy Mouse.

Mouse is the star of this book, and the reason for bringing Adam and Madeline together. With some hilarious laugh out loud moments, just the right amount of angst, and some smoking hot scenes too, there is a little bit of everything.

The comedy in this book is spot on, with witty banter and a few slightly Over the Top moments! Both characters clash throughout the book, but in the best way possible! A very clever, addictive, easy read which I am sure you will devour very quickly!

I can always rely on RS Grey to give me a read that will make me smile and giggle all the way through.

She writes such relatable characters; Madeleine is 27 and living pay check to pay check, with a beat up car and attending singles nights. So basically is a hot mess. She is so fun and quirky though and I love her, especially her love for sweet Mouse the dog!

Thanks to Mouse she meets Adam the new veterinarian in town and doesn’t make the best first impression. He comes across as pretty serious but with a girl like Madeleine (and mouse) those walls are bound to come down pretty quick!

This whole book had me hooked and not wanting to stop, I read it in a day which for me is an achievement lately. It was just such an easy entertaining read with great main characters and equally as good secondary ones too that kept it flowing.
I’m looking forward to RS Greys future releases.
