Juliette Smith, star tennis player, is starting over at a new university. Traumatized by hazing at her last school, all she wants is to attend classes, win tennis matches, and be left the hell alone.

She should have known her coach, Drew King, would be a problem from the moment he flexed his sexy-as-hell forearms.

What happens when you mix a pissed-off woman with a bunch of snooty teammates and a hot coach?

A heated match, complete with team politics and a forbidden game of singles with the coach.

It’s reckless and hot until one of them taps out.

Unable to admit she may be better off as a double, Jules is convinced she needs to play the game of life alone. Then life throws her a lob and she runs smack into her past.

Coach King is back, and he wants to take control of the game. But she’s not certain she wants his advice when it comes to the life she’s built.

The power struggle is on, but this time off the court.

4TLOR Review ~ by Lou

I initially read the novella version of this story as part of an anthology, and really enjoyed the story then. I knew immediately I wanted more and there was no way the story could end there, so to actually get the full length novel was brilliant. I wanted to know what was going to happen between King and Jules. And boy am glad we got the full story!

I don’t want to say too much about how the novella ended, as this would ruin a big part of the story for new readers, but lets just say things were left very open with some big changes in Jules’ life.

Now, I’m going to be honest, Jules decision making did annoy me a little. I felt that some of the decisions she made were not her wisest of choices and I think she could and probably should have made more of an effort. As a person though and as a character I really liked her! She is strong, sexy and sassy, doing the very best she can. She’s fiercely independent and determined, and pretty nervous about letting Drew back into her life again.

Drew King is just swoony! And it was great to see more of him in this book and to see what he is doing now. Drew King really is a brilliant character. He is sexy, hot, and OH MY, very understanding! His feelings for Jules are huge, and he’s never been afraid to admit it. But the patience he portrays in the story, and the understanding he has for Jules and her situation is immense.

Drew is determined the get Jules back into his life again now he’s found her again and he will stop at nothing to make this happen. I love his alpha side that shines through in the story and his determination is brilliant. Even though this clashes with Jules’ stubbornness!

A really lovely second chance romance which is sexy, funny, emotional and full of chemistry!

4TLOR Review ~ by Donna

I’m conflicted, I loved the short in Hot for Teacher, and I wanted to know more, so the fact we finally got the full story was perfect. But truthfully for me I’m not sure I agree with what happened or why you would keep that a secret and not give things a chance.

Although saying that and here’s the conflict the book the book was written well and for most part I enjoyed the story. Drew was easy to fall for and I had a bucket load of empathy and sympathy for him, whereas the heroine frustrated the hell out me ! But at other points I understand and connected.

Overall the story flowed and the easy writing style helped keep your interest throughout.

A devout coffee drinker and doughnut eater, Rachel spends way too many hours in local coffee shops, downing the aforementioned goodies while she plots her ideas. Her tales may all come with a side of angst and naughtiness, but end as lusciously as her treats.

When she isn’t writing, she can be found courtside, tweeting about hoops as her son plays, or walking around the house wearing earplugs while her other son, the drummer, bangs away.
