EXCERPT:

Her face was stunning. Wide smile. White teeth and a good deal of them. Big eyes. Elegant nose. Soft cheekbones. All of this she highlighted with the expert use of makeup from what was clearly a gift of superior genes into something that shone like a Hollywood starlet.

A starlet of a stripper who looked a good deal like Dolly Parton, who also likely got home the night before, earliest, three in the morning, and was right then, only hours later, back on the stage helping another girl by teaching her some moves.

“Marcus, brother,” Smithie’s voice came at him. “You got a problem with the way I do business, and I give you reason to have that problem, then we have a talk. I don’t give you that reason, we don’t have conversations like this one. That’s our deal.”

Marcus listened to him while he watched Daisy talking to the other girl and then she ran across the stage, doing it gracefully in platform sandals, her stone-washed jeans tight on her ass and hips and all the way down her legs. Still, after she ran the four steps, she launched herself high, grabbing on to the pole at least three feet higher than she was, her body swinging around by just her hands.

When the swing ended, she climbed up the pole, hand over hand. Doing this quickly, taking herself up another four feet, she flipped her bottom half over, wrapping her skinny legs around the pole. She dropped back, her hair flowing down, and with her only hold on the pole being her legs, she arched her back and slid down slowly, somehow circling the pole as she did it.

She ended this doing a layout with her hands on the floor, her legs in slow and controlled movements coming over her head one after the other. Her hands pushing off, she was up.

Standing straight with perfect posture.

A Message from Kristen:

Dear Reader,

I’m beside myself with glee that this prequel to my Rock Chick series has been unleashed! There was some time when I never thought I’d write it. When I couldn’t be in that terrible place with Daisy. But I’m oh-so glad that she called to me, demanding her story be told so she could give it to me and now I can give it to you! I loved every moment spent with Daisy and Marcus. And I hope you do too!

~Kristen Ashley

4TLOR 5 Star Review ~ by Lou

LOVE!!! Marcus and Daisy’s story is everything I could have hoped for and so, so much MORE!!! It is the most PERFECT way to conclude the Rock Chick series, on a total high with a smile on my face almost throughout (I say almost because there are some very emotional parts too!)!

Anyone that has read the Rock Chick series, then this is the story we have ALL Been waiting for. Finding out more about the history of Daisy and Marcus, how and why she became a stripper, how Marcus came into her life, how he stayed there and why they live in their Castle together.

Having read this story now, I have become to love Marcus and Daisy even more than ever. We all know that Marcus has a darker side, he’s been a bad man and involved in some dark and dangerous things. Daisy knows this too, but as we’ve always know there is so much more to their relationship and Daisy see’s the REAL Marcus. He is also sweet, charming and a true gentleman. As much as you wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of Marcus, he is fiercely loyal when required and will protect what is his with his life. In this book we see a totally different side to Marcus and learn more about his own emotional story. We also see his pure determination to get what he wants… DAISY!

Daisy is typical Daisy. She’s sweet, kind, caring, fiercely loyal as well. She’s sassy, and of course an absolutely gorgeous Southern woman, who takes care of her appearance at all times. But we also see the sad side to Daisy in this book. We do learn her history and we see why she has gone the places she’s gone – it’s emotional and raw, but Daisy is still Daisy throughout and I love her even more for this. Kristen Ashley has done a great job at developing Daisy’s character, explaining her story, but without moving away from who she is, and what she stands for.

This book is everything any fan of the Rock Chick series can want. We get glimpses into the other Rock Chick characters, which of course is brilliant. And we also have plenty of the usual humour and witty banter you’d expect with Daisy and co. There will be plenty of laugh out loud moments that had me chuckling away, but also more serious, and sad parts which may have you reaching for the tissues. In fact, I dare you not to read the epilogue without a tear or two – it is EVERYTHING!! And of course, plenty of chemistry and sexual tension which, in the words of Daisy, will hit you right in the coochie!!!

Make sure you pick this book up today!

4TLOR 5 Star Review ~ by Donna

I adore the Rock Chick Series, in fact it’s one of my ultimate series that I can always go back to again and again. Each book gave us another unique character with a hot alpha male, and told the story of love and how they became a Rock Chick.

But one constant supporting character throughout the series, whose alpha was surrounded in mystery was Daisy ! Her kind hearted uniqueness, sassiness and our souther hospitality, spoke from the pages and she was always there with a shoulder, offer of help, opened up her home or her connections. Has never had her voice heard…..until now

Daisy and Marcus their relationship has always intrigued me, how it worked, why it worked etc.. we didn’t know much about Marcus until now and it’s honestly made me fall a little more with each turn of the page.

This book is full of emotion and humour, in a perfect balance that Kristen manages beautifully. I particularity enjoyed the snippets of the other characters and the relationships there, but at no point did my returning favourite take away from the love and focus I had for Daisy and Marcus.

At the end I had a huge smile on my face for my favourite Southern Belle and her perfectly charming bad boy. Kristen I salute and thank you

5 Stars

“We inhaled Marcus and Daisy’s story, how could we not. It was everything to us and we cannot thank Kristen Ashley enough for writing it, in her much loved unique manner. The queen of epilogues struck once more and we smiled through copious tears of happiness, our hearts feeling full and complete. Whilst sad that it’s over we just can’t feel anything but happiness and love right now. It was Aces! Rock on…and be prepared to be swept of off your feet.”

kristen-ashley-headshotAbout Kristen Ashley:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
