Five years ago, we’d been together and on fire, but the flames burned us both. Now she’s back in my life and is all my wildest fantasies in the flesh.
I want her. The desire is too powerful to argue against, but I’m not interested in what we had. This is an arrangement about pleasure and finding out who we are behind closed doors. There won’t be talk of love or any sweet nothings whispered by either of us.
This time, I’ll control the heat between us and make sure neither of our hearts get too close to the flames.

4TLOR Review ~ by Lou
This is the first book I’ve read from this series, so I read it as a complete standalone. It’s certainly left me intrigued to read the rest of the series now and learn more about the characters that featured in the previous books.
I enjoyed this very hot and sexy, easy to read second chance romance. It was a great story and I loved how Ruby and Kyle reconnected after 5 years apart. I liked the build up of their relationship and how there was a real underlying feeling of wanting ‘more’. These two connected to well!
Although there is A LOT of sex in this book, it was super hot and steamy and the chemistry was written very well. Just the right amount of angst, and also plenty of sweetness and romance as well. Kyle and Ruby are great characters – I felt they were both very strong people who knew exactly what they wanted. I liked how they had both obviously matured (both in and out of the bedroom) since being together last, which adds to the basis of this storyline.
Overall I felt the story flowed really well and it was a good fast paced book. I liked the interaction with other people and enjoyed some of the secondary characters – again, leaving me wanting to read their stories too and hopefully read more from others in the future.
I devoured this book and enjoyed it all from start to finish although did feel like it ended very suddenly! I was certainly left wanting more.
4 sweet stars!
About the Author:
Nikki Sloane landed in graphic design after her careers as a waitress, a screenwriter, and a ballroom dance instructor fell through. For eight years she worked for a design firm in that extremely tall, black, and tiered building in Chicago that went through an unfortunate name change during her time there. Now she lives in Kentucky and manages a team of graphic artists. She is a member of the Romance Writers of America, is married with two sons, writes dirty books, and couldn’t be any happier.
