Ainsley came into my life in a flurry of vibrant colors, lighting my world up when all seemed lost.It wasn’t our quiet nights by the creek or stolen kisses surrounded by a sea of cotton that saved me.
It was her.
She was my comfort when life threw one ugly tragedy after another at me.
Until she dealt me the greatest blow.
Now, abandonment, betrayal, and death darken every corner of my life. Anger and hurt burn bright where love and trust once lived.
But, now, she’s back. Sure, she’s changed, but I see through it—straight to her heart.
4TLOR Review ~ by Donna
What a way to explode on to the scene, what a debut novel, a book based around family, love, heartbreak, finding your way and everlasting friendship when you need it the most.
Amie Knight captures everything beautifully and the tale of the friendship that evolves from the age of 8 and beyond is wonderful to watch.
The two main characters of Ainsley and Adrian who fall apart and pick themselves up with the help of each other are best friends and grow. You can see the devotion and underlying heat as they get older. You can see the love shine through and it’s wonderful. Ainsley has an ease about her, and she always buys others before herself, where Adrian and his beautiful Blue eyes make sure she is always cared for. He cares and loves deeply.
Of course theirs a great deal of angst and heartbreak, but there is also moments of pure childhood joy and elation. The added dimensions that the supporting cast bring in is brilliant and they are perfectly balanced. There are moments you can definitely relate to each character and it’s told from a Dual POV
This is definitely an author to watch and that cover is stunning
