Beautiful Broken Girl (Broken Girl #1)
How far did I get? Who found me? Were they here to take me back?
Starting a new life, Kennedy never thought she could find true happiness. Until him.
Cole was perfectly content coasting through life with no purpose, no real connections. Until her.
“I don’t know what you are running from, but I can promise you I am nothing like your past. I’m your future, Kennedy. Does that scare you? Are you scared of falling?
Will the love between them be enough to help Kennedy move on from her past? Enough for Cole to see a real future? Or will the past always be there to haunt them?

Part One of a duet and a beautiful Debut Novel
It’s a tense read with parts that are definitely hard to get past without making you feel highly charged and empathise with Kennedy. But what I love is how beautifully the author tackles this subject. And how eloquently, delicately and sensitively it is written but still with the punch it needs to get the desired emotion and feel of the book.
Kennedy, wakes up in Hospital without any real recollection of her past, but her dreams drag her right back to places she’d rather forget as she realises there really is no escape from a past no one should ever have to endure.
Kennedy is taken in by Jocelyn and her family, given a fresh start and a new life.
First impressions count right, maybe not so when the first time you meet someone you are both naked. What a way to meet Cole – guess it got all the awkwardness out of the way!
Cole is the Son, star QB and all round Hottie, he feels and sees something in Kennedy that leaves him a little unnerved as he wants to spend as much time as possible with her just as friends.
Kennedy meets Abby and Ash, who both are great characters key players and they way you see them connect with Kennedy and the want to befriend and protect is lovely . As with a lot of the secondary characters.
I love seeing Cole and Kennedy’s relationship grow and change from friends to lovers
The tense moments with the bitchy nasty characters like Dennis and Caitlin are great, the plot twists and turns are cleverly executed and then when you least expect it Bam you need the next book
Thank goodness I already do ….

2nd book in a 2 part series you need to read Beautiful Broken Girl first
We pick up right where we left off, just as Ken was ready to let go and start her future with Cole, her past that has haunted her dreams, has finally caught up with her and ripped her world apart.
This book is a test of strength, courage, hope and love from all the characters involved as we see them all fight their own battles in different ways throughout the books. The emotional and maturity levels and development of the characters has changed for the better from book 1 to 2 and this has had a positive impact on the book.
Ken needs and keeps her wits and strength about her as she is taken to the place where it all began, she finds a friend that gives her Hope and together they see the light.
Cole has to stay strong for Kennedy and he finds new friends to help him do just that.
Abby has to fight for her life.
This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster and there are moments of pure delight, frustration and emotion. You feel you understand some decisions and then feel like banging heads against each other at other moments in the book – it has it all. Overall the twists and turns again are fabulous and when you think it’s sorted it’s not.
Looking forward to more from Rachael
