**REVIEW** Into the Nothing by BT Urruela

Xander Evans has been on the road for many years. Never settling. Always moving from one place to another, unable to let go of his past. He lived a tragic childhood, spending most of those years in foster care. He’s never felt like he’s had a home. That is until he stops in the small town of Truman Valley, Missouri, where he meets a woman who will change everything he’s ever known.

Paige Watson has it all. A loving family, beautiful home, and a great career. The only thing she’s missing….is love. After escaping an abusive relationship, she opens her heart up to a stranger. He is unlike any man she’s ever met. He came into her life and turned it completely upside down. Everything is perfect. That is, until one fateful night.

A night that would tear the Watson family apart, never to be put back together again.

A night that would send Xander away to prison for life.

Review by Donna

From the prologue to the epilogue this book had me in awe and left me wanting. For me this book had it all, every box I would tick to give a book a 5 star rating has been ticked and then some.

A flawless writing style that flowed effortlessly off of the page making it easy to lose yourself amongst the words, to the connection felt with the characters as I watched the story unfold around me. The sense of family ties, values, protection. A sense of need, a want of belonging, friendship and love, all within the covers of this book certainly got my undivided attention.

It wasn’t your traditional romance novel, this book had a past, the main characters had flaws that need to be shared and a sense of real life about them. A dual PoV brilliantly executed as I personally enjoy reading from both sides. Xander and Paige had a sense of camaraderie, Xander protected and was welcomed into the Watson family. A friendship prevailed first and foremost and that strong sense of friends, respect and family.

Xander and Paige’s slow burning, building romance was a delight to read and their interaction was sweet and funny. Add in the hot sexy scenes and you get a winner ! But above all it was with the wait to see the way it built.

The interaction with other characters like that of Brandi, Ethan and the Watsons was fabulous and the awkwardness of the father, boyfriend talk between Jack and Xander was great but true to life.

The introduction of characters like Irish from Xanders past showed another side to him, I already found him compelling but this helped with understanding him more. And then the later addition of Twitch what a great character !

The plots dark twists and turns definitely had my jaw hitting the floor I thought I had it figured it, didn’t see that coming, well played BT well played.

What a Debut solo novel, I can not wait to see these characters again in book 2

***** 5 stars *****
