Abel drops
his head on my shoulder with a sigh and places soft but wet kisses on my
collarbone.

“The minute
you turn eighteen, I’m picking you up, throwing you over my shoulder and
driving you down to the nearest courthouse so you can say I do,” he rumbles, still kissing me, tattooing those words on my
skin.

My hands
bury themselves in his hair as my back arches toward him, craving the rough
terrain of his chest against my soft, rounded breasts, shooting sparks all
over.

“You
haven’t even asked me n-nicely, yet,” I whimper, baring my throat to his
exploring mouth. He hasn’t. It’s been over a year since he brought it up at the
treehouse and I told him no. Since then, he likes to joke about it but he’s yet
to ask me formally.

“I don’t
have to. I already know the answer.”

“A little
too cocky, aren’t you?”

“Oh yeah,
that’s definitely what I am.” He chuckles, sucking in the skin of my neck,
making me shiver and blush. Oops. Double entendre.

The way
he’s tugging on my skin is translating into a melty tugging down below. “Abel,
no. That’s gonna leave a mark.”

He growls
and looks up. The brown of his eyes is completely gone, a drop of honey drowned
by a black lake of desire. “One day I’m gonna kiss you in the front of the
whole world and if they don’t like it then fuck them.”

I read the
frustration in his tone, the suppressed anger, and it hurts my heart. No one
should be made to hide their love. No one. It’s too pure, too beautiful to ever
keep hidden. I caress his pulsing jaw. “Okay. Kiss me at our wedding, then. In
front of the whole world.”

A slow
smile spreads over his lips and I want to fill my mouth with it. “So, you
saying yes?”

I shake my
head at him and give him a smirk. “Maybe.”

He plants a
hard kiss on my mouth. “Kidnapping you it is, then.”

“Oh my God,
you’re crazy.” I laugh.

But he
swallows it up with his mouth. He’s kissing me, really kissing me. Like, he’s lost all patience with me and he
can’t be a good guy anymore. He needs to be bad. He needs to suck both my lips
into his mouth and drink my flavor straight from the tap. He needs to bite into
my flesh to get to it, dig his way inside the pores and fuse us together.

4TLOReading Review ~ by Lou

This was a great book. A story filled full of laugh out loud moments, and a really great light-hearted rom-com. But having said that it did have a serious side, with some great suspense and build up towards the end.

The humour was there throughout, but I struggled to connect with Scarlet to tart with, and it wasn’t until Willis managed to delve deeper into her character that I started to warm to her. By the end though she had redeemed herself and I loved them all. Willis was simply brilliant, a bit introverted, quirky and reclusive, but with an absolute heart of gold, and oh so good at offering advice!!

The story line of this was great, a bit different and certainly kept the reader on their toes. Willis is such a geek, especially with his fanboy moments over Commander Reptilian – who is an absolutely brilliant supporting character by the way!! Scarlet’s sister, Willis’ best friend, just great!!

Would love a follow up story with this book, for the supporting characters…

Written in dual PoV from the 2 main characters, the story line flowed very well throughout, with a great plot. A really enjoyable, easy, quick and extremely fun read! Highly recommend!

I’d been fooled once by the promise of quiet nights and serene days in the sunshine. I believed the brochure when it said I could leave my worries at home and escape to a simpler, quieter kind of life. I let myself be lured in by the picturesque landscape and stunning mountains. I foolishly fell prey to the temptation of leaving my current set of troubles behind in San Francisco while I hid away in the middle-of-nowhere Wyoming.

I now knew firsthand the glossy brochure that brought me to Wyoming the first time was nothing more than a bunch of pretty, packaged lies. I knew the bar brawl erupting in front of me was hardly the worst thing that could happen here. In fact, the level of bloodshed and violence was child’s play compared to what I’d witnessed the last time I’d stepped foot in this small, quaint town. Well, I hadn’t really been in Sheridan last time I was here. I’d spent most of my time in the backwoods that surrounded the Warner brothers’ ranch, which was still a good forty-five minutes outside of this tiny town. The ranch was where I was currently trying to get to so I could see my best friend.

When I left Wyoming, I told myself I would never come back.

Let me start by saying I highly recommend you read books 1 & 2 of this series before picking this one up. I really think you need to know the full story and the journey the characters have been on to get to this point. I love this Twin Estates Series and so excited that this 3rd instalment it here!

Liam Edenhoff has totally stolen the show… I mean I LOVED him in the previous books, but he totally swept me away in this story! There is SO MUCH MORE to him than meets the eye! We learn so much more about his character in this story, and Ayumi is just the perfect person to bring out the other side to him.

So very different – the ‘Ice Queen’ Vs ‘The jack-the-lad’. But as the story progresses, we realise how perfect for each other they truly are!!

With plenty of interaction from the other Neighbourhood characters, with Wulf, Katya, Landon and Tori, there is plenty in this story to keep the pages turning. I practically read this in one sitting, devoured the words and fell in love with the characters all over again! Brilliant!

I realised now; it was probably what drew me to Maverick.

By the way, what happened to Todd’s nose?” I asked.

“I broke it,” Elliott said matter-of-factly.

“What? How? Why?”

He shrugged before turning to look out the window. “He called you a bad name.”

“What was it?”

“It doesn’t matter.”

“Eli,” I started.

He turned my way and locked his hazel eyes with my browns. “Jazz…” He shook his head. “It wasn’t true.”

I swallowed hard, a big part of me certain Todd’s words held some form of truth.

Elliott saw it in me—my fear. He kept shaking his head and whispered, “I don’t feel sorry for you. Sometimes you look at me like you think I feel sorry for you, and I want you to know I don’t. I think you’re perfect the way you are.”

I quietly laughed at him repeating the words I’d told him earlier. A few tears rolled down my cheeks. “I’m a little messed up.”

“I know.” He nodded. “That’s why I like you.”

He went back to staring out the window, and I kept staring at him.

And there it was.

So small, so tiny, so real.

Love.

It wasn’t love, but it was the beginning of it.

I knew I was young, and I knew it was stupid, but in that moment, I began to fall in love with the quiet boy who quietly cared for me. The boy who was scared and still strong. The boy who stood up for me when he was surrounded by reasons not to do such a thing. I hadn’t known much about love. I hadn’t known how it looked, felt, or tasted. I hadn’t known how it moved, how it flowed, but I knew my heart was tight and currently skipping a few beats. I understood the goose bumps covering my arms. I knew this stuttering boy who was sometimes so scared was someone worth loving. He was worth being the first one I gave my heart to.

I knew Elliott Adams was love.

And I was falling into him so fast.

OMG!!! Beautiful…. stunning…. exquisite…. unforgettable!!! This story is so special, my review will never do it justice. I can’t even form words. The story sung to my soul, hit me hard with emotions I didn’t even realise was possible. The tears, the smiles, the feels…

The characters in this story were unique and spellbinding. Jasmine and Elliott’s story is one of true friendship, but oh so much more! Their love, their connection, their strength… everything about them is true beauty. Yet they both have their struggles, and as the story develops we can really see and feel how they are damaged and broken, we can feel their anguish and their pain, their happy times, but also the tears. And boy, were there some tears.

Brittainy C Cherry has such a exquisite way with words and developing the most moving, emotional stories. As always the writing was flawless, with such a well thought out plot, I simply couldn’t find fault with a single thing. This book is an absolute masterpiece!
